Field of expertise:

The Centre for innovative process engineering (CENTIV) is a multi disciplinary research organization with the objective to support the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through technological innovations. Centiv motivation is research and innovation. CENTIV develops and markets innovative products and processes with and for the industry. With this activity Centiv has created a network of contacts with SMEs around Europe and an expertise on how to deal with them. CENTIV means more than 15 years of successful acquisition of funding for the implementation of Research&Innovation projects - on national level (BMBF, DBU, AiF etc) as well as on international level (EU).
In total, the CENTIV staff participated in more than 15 Research&Innovation projects. Referring to biomass, CENTIV staff participates in NETBIOCOF, a coordination project which aims to promote the uptake of innovative technologies to expand the use of biomass co-firing in new and existing power plants.
CENTIV is a well-established R&D organization at the frontier of research. The experienced staff, with longstanding academic and industrial backgrounds, will contribute information on biological feedsotcks and bio-products related issues, and will make use of their contacts in the biomass field.

Role in the project:
CENTIV main roll will be the leadership of WP6 (Dissemination and spread of AQUATERRE), supporting all the related tasks like website and Information Platform establishment. Furthermore, CENTIV will be in charge of carrying out the “White Book for Biomass in Europe” Also as part of dissemination, CENTIV will co-ordinate staff secondments in order to maximise the network´s potential.
Besides, CENTIV will lead the Scientific Project Management, being responsible for monitoring the delivery of the WP’s reports and milestones.
Additionally, CENTIV will be the responsible of the Kick-off Meeting.
