Field of expertise: BOKU the ‚Universität Bodenkultur Wien’ is well known for their service in the filed of agriculture. BOKU is hosting 14 research departments of which the department for ‘Sustainable Agriculture’ will be responsible for any work within AQUATERRE.Main activities and task of BOKU to fulfil their services are: • Project support (technical advice and management) in the field of national and international research projects. • Support in areas of financial management and protocol issues • Technology and Know-how Transfer • Develop of index for evaluation • Planning and execution of evaluations for research projects The University of Wien is fulfilling the aim of a continuous innovation process, which is essential for the local industry and community. On the one hand BOKU is education and promoting young carriers and on the other hand BOKU is creating new knowledge that can be used likewise in the industry as in the community. Therefore, it has always been the aim of BOKU to have a close relationship to private economist. In order to give best opportunities to the members of the University for the Commercial Utilisation of all developed know-how and to support any ambition for technology transfer, this new service (BOKU) was created as the technology transfer centre of the University for Agriculture. |

Role in the project: In AQUATERRE BOKU will be the leader of WP 4 ‘Review of current research activities’ and they will also led the tasks ‘Current Research Activities for Biomass Production’. |
